The West Bengal Central School Service Commission (WBSSC) has opened the application window for its second State Level Selection Test (SLST) 2025, targeting the recruitment of 35,726 assistant teachers in secondary and higher secondary schools. This initiative aims to bolster the educational framework in government-aided and sponsored schools across the state.

Prospective candidates are encouraged to apply online before the deadline on July 14, 2025, at 5 PM IST. The application process demands attention to detail, ensuring all criteria and deadlines are meticulously met to avoid disqualification.

Eligible candidates must hold a Graduate or Postgraduate degree with a minimum of 50% marks along with a B.Ed or equivalent teaching qualification. Age restrictions apply, with candidates required to be between 21–40 years as of January 1, 2025; however, age relaxations are in place for reserved categories.

  • SC/ST/PwBD application fee: ₹200

Selection will be based on a written OMR-based examination scheduled for the first week of September 2025, followed by a qualification review, lecture demonstration, and interview.
