TNPSC Announces Admissions for Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun, January 2026 Term
Apply by March 31, 2025, for Class VIII Admissions.
The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has announced the admission process for the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Dehradun, for the January 2026 term. This prestigious institution offers students, both boys and girls, the opportunity to join Class VIII. Candidates must be between 11½ and 13 years old as of January 1, 2026. This means they should have been born between January 2, 2013, and July 1, 2014. Applicants should be studying in or have completed Class VII from a recognized school at the time of admission.

To apply, candidates need to obtain the prospectus-cum-application form and a booklet of old question papers. These can be acquired by sending a written request along with a Demand Draft of ₹600 for General candidates and ₹555 for SC/ST candidates (along with a community certificate) to “The Commandant, RIMC Fund,” payable at HDFC Bank, Ballupur Chowk, Dehradun (Bank Code: 1399), Uttarakhand. Alternatively, payment can be made online through the RIMC website, after which the prospectus and related documents will be sent via speed post.
Completed applications must reach the Controller of Examinations, TNPSC, Chennai, by 5:45 PM on March 31, 2025. The entrance examination is scheduled for June 1, 2025, and will consist of three papers: English, Mathematics, and General Knowledge. The Mathematics and General Knowledge papers can be answered in either English or Hindi. Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for an interview to assess their intelligence, personality, and communication skills. The interview date will be announced later.
