Supreme Court directs a single-shift exam to ensure fairness.

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced the rescheduling of the NEET PG 2025 examination to August 3, 2025. This change comes as a directive from the Supreme Court, which emphasized the need for a consistent examination framework to ensure fairness and transparency in the evaluation process.

Originally planned for June 15, 2025, the exam had to be postponed due to the logistical demands of conducting the test in a single shift across over 500 centers nationwide. This decision, made in collaboration with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), aims to provide adequate infrastructure and secure venues in line with the court’s requirements.

The Supreme Court has expressed concerns over the delay but recognized the necessity of a single-shift format to preserve the integrity of the examination. It has firmly stated that no further extensions would be granted, urging NBEMS to adhere to the new schedule strictly.

Candidates should note that previously issued admit cards are invalid, and new admit cards along with city intimation slips will be issued soon. For the latest updates, candidates are advised to regularly check the official NBEMS website.
