The Indian Coast Guard has announced a significant recruitment drive for the year 2025, offering a chance for young Indian males to join one of the country’s premier maritime security forces. This recruitment aims to fill 630 vacancies across three distinct posts: Navik (General Duty), Navik (Domestic Branch), and Yantrik.

Interested candidates should mark their calendars as the application window is currently open but will close sharply on 25 June 2025. This provides a limited window to apply, urging potential applicants to act swiftly to secure their application submissions.

Eligibility criteria are specific to each post, ensuring candidates are well-suited for their roles in the Coast Guard. Detailed eligibility standards are outlined below:

Navik (General Duty) 18-22 years 10+2 passed
Navik (Domestic Branch) 18-22 years 10th passed
Yantrik 18-22 years 10th + diploma

The selection process will be rigorous, involving multiple stages including a Computer Based Test (CBT), physical fitness tests, document verification, medical examination, and final enrolment. The first stage of selection (CBT) for both CGEPT-01/2026 and CGEPT-02/2026 batches is expected to take place around mid to end of September 2025.
