Physical Standards Test (PST) Requirements

  • Height: General male: 165 cm, SC/ST male: 160 cm, Female (all categories): 155 cm.
  • Chest (male only): Unexpanded – 81 cm (General), 79 cm (SC/ST); Expanded – 86 cm (General), 84 cm (SC/ST).
  • Weight (female candidates): Minimum 48 kg.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) Details

  • Running: Males – 1.6 km in ≤ 6 minutes, Females – 1 km in ≤ 6 minutes.
  • Shot Put: Men – 16 lb to ≥16 ft, Women – 12 lb to ≥12 ft.
  • High Jump: Men – minimum 4 ft, Women – 3 ft.

The physical tests are scored out of 100 marks, with running accounting for 50, shot put 25, and high jump 25. Failure to meet the minimum criteria in any sub-test results in disqualification.
