Bihar Constable 2025 Physical Test: Running Time, Height, Chest & Shot Put Details

Aspiring candidates for the Bihar Police Constable position must prepare for the upcoming Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standards Test (PST), crucial components of the selection process. Here are the key standards and dates for 2025.

Physical Standards Test (PST) Requirements

• Height: General male: 165 cm, SC/ST male: 160 cm, Female (all categories): 155 cm.
• Chest (male only): Unexpanded – 81 cm (General), 79 cm (SC/ST); Expanded – 86 cm (General), 84 cm (SC/ST).
• Weight (female candidates): Minimum 48 kg.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) Details

• Running: Males – 1.6 km in ≤ 6 minutes, Females – 1 km in ≤ 6 minutes.
• Shot Put: Men – 16 lb to ≥16 ft, Women – 12 lb to ≥12 ft.
• High Jump: Men – minimum 4 ft, Women – 3 ft.

The physical tests are scored out of 100 marks, with running accounting for 50, shot put 25, and high jump 25. Failure to meet the minimum criteria in any sub-test results in disqualification.

Written exams are currently ongoing, with dates for the PET and PST expected to be announced soon on the official CSBC portal. Candidates who qualify in the written exams will be notified accordingly for the physical tests.
