Here are the key eligibility requirements you need to meet, if you are interested in applying for the Assistant Teacher position in the Trained Graduate Grade for 2025. These criteria ensure that candidates are well-prepared and qualified for the role.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in a specific subject area from a recognized Indian university. Additionally, a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree is required for most subjects.

  • Hindi: Bachelor's degree in Hindi, Intermediate with Sanskrit or Uttar Madhyama from UP Sanskrit Shiksha Parishad, and a B.Ed. degree.
  • English: Bachelor's degree in English Literature and a B.Ed. degree.
  • Mathematics: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a B.Ed. degree.
  • Science: Bachelor's degree in Physics and Chemistry and a B.Ed. degree.
  • Biology: Bachelor's degree in Zoology and Botany and a B.Ed. degree.
  • Other Subjects (Sanskrit, Urdu, Music, Arts, Home Science, Agriculture/Horticulture, Commerce): Respective Bachelor's degree and a B.Ed. degree.
  • Physical Education: Bachelor's degree and either a B.P.Ed or B.P.E degree recognized by NCTE.

Age Limit

The age limit for candidates as on 1 July 2025 is between 21 and 40 years. This means you should be born between 2 July 1985 and 1 July 2004. Age relaxations are available for reserved categories as per UPPSC norms.

Experience

No prior teaching experience is required for this position. Fresh graduates who meet the educational qualifications are eligible to apply.

Physical / Medical Requirements

Candidates need to be in good mental and physical health. It is important to note that having more than one spouse at the time of application disqualifies a candidate from eligibility.
