This process is designed to assess the eligibility and competence of candidates aspiring for various administrative positions.
Selection Process for Group 2 (Interview Posts)

- Main Written Examination: Comprising two descriptive papers, the Tamil Eligibility Test and General Studies, with respective qualifying marks of 40 and 90 out of 100 and 300 marks.
- Interview: An oral test worth 40 marks, which is added to the Main Examination marks to determine the final ranking.
Selection Process for Group 2A (Non-Interview Posts)
- Common Preliminary Examination: Identical to the preliminary exam for Interview posts.
- Main Written Examination: Involves two descriptive papers, focusing on the Tamil Eligibility Test and General Studies/General Intelligence & Reasoning, depending on the specific service. The final merit is based solely on the marks obtained in these papers.
