IB Security Assistant/Executive 2025 Selection Process

If you're planning to apply for the position of IB Security Assistant, understanding the selection process is crucial. This process is divided into three main tiers, each designed to evaluate different skills and competencies. Let's break down each tier to help you prepare effectively.

Tier-I: Objective Test

This is the first stage of the selection process. It's a computer-based test conducted online. The test consists of 100 multiple-choice questions and you have 60 minutes to complete it.

• Questions cover five key areas: English Language, General Awareness, General Studies, Numerical/Analytical/Logical Ability & Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude, with 20 questions from each area.
• Each question is worth 1 mark, making the total marks available 100.
• Be cautious with your answers as there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.
• You must meet both the sectional and overall cutoff marks to pass this tier. These cutoffs are specified in the official notification.

Tier-II: Descriptive / Language Translation Test

This tier involves a descriptive test that lasts for one hour and is worth 50 marks. It primarily tests your writing and translation skills.

• You will need to translate a 500-word passage between English and a local language or dialect.
• This test is only qualifying in nature, which means you need to score at least 33% (20 out of 50) to pass, but the marks do not count towards your final selection.

Tier-III: Interview / Personality Test

The final stage is a personal interview, which also carries 50 marks. This tier assesses your personality and suitability for the role.

• Your performance in both Tier-I and Tier-III will be combined to determine your final merit.
• Only those candidates who pass Tier-II will be eligible to appear for this interview.
