IB Security Assistant/Executive 2025 Exam Pattern

If you are preparing for the IB Security Assistant exam, understanding its structure and pattern is very important. The exam is divided into three distinct tiers, each designed to assess different skills. Below is a detailed guide to help you navigate through the exam's format and requirements.

Tier I – Objective Test

This initial stage is a computer-based test consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions. You will be tested on various subjects, each contributing equally to the total score.

The test lasts for 60 minutes and has a maximum score of 100 marks. Be mindful of the negative marking; for each incorrect answer, 1/4 mark will be deducted.

Tier II – Descriptive/Translation Test

This written test involves translating a passage of about 500 words from a local language/dialect to English and vice versa. The test is qualifying in nature, with a total of 50 marks and a minimum qualifying mark of 33% (20 out of 50).

The duration of this test is also 1 hour.

Tier III – Interview / Personality Test

The final stage is an interview or personality assessment. Only those who qualify in Tier II are eligible for this round. It carries 50 marks and the final merit list is based on the combined scores of Tier I and Tier III.
